Kornoukhov Alexander Davydovich
Alexander Davydovich Kornoukhov (born May 18, 1947, Moscow) is a monumental artist, painter, and graphic artist. He was an advisor to RAASN (2000), academician of the Russian Academy of Arts (RAH, 2018), and a teacher at the Surikov Art Institute since 2000.
Biography
He was born into a family of artists. In 1970, he graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. After graduation, he worked at the Institute of Ethnography of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Since 1975, he has exhibited regularly in Russia and abroad. His works are found in the Academy of Arts of Ravenna, Dante Center in Ravenna, Peace Park in Ravenna (Italy), Art Institute in Sassari (Italy), the Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene, Israel, and private collections in Russia, Italy, and the USA.
