Born in Moscow on September 15, 1946. Graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Art and Industry named after S.G. Stroganov in 1972.

...The tapestry 'Airport' by Lia Altman attracts with its unexpected composition: a view from the airplane window, earth rushing towards the viewer, fields, sky illuminated by the setting sun. The shifts of geometric forms and the use of bright colors reveal the influence of suprematism techniques.
