Author about himself
...The whole process of working on a sculpture can be graphically represented as two points and a line between them. The first point is the impression, thought, or feeling—the impulse that compelled the sculptor to start working. The second is the finished sculpture. Everything the artist does between these two points is a choice that determines what the future sculpture should become. This choice is an expression of human free will, and its breadth depends on the artist's freedom and the depth of their experience, because shallow experience limits freedom and allows for choice in only a very narrow circle.
Ultimately, this choice is everything. Because of it, the sculpture becomes what it is and not something else. Each artist makes this choice in their own way. Hence, the diversity of sculpture, its infinity and unpredictability. This is the perspective from which I approach sculpture.
