Ivan Mikhailovich Kugach

Ivan Mikhailovich Kugach (born December 21, 1972, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian artist, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2023).

Biography:
He was born on December 21, 1972, in Moscow in the family of an artist. He lives and works in Vyshny Volochyok, Tver Oblast. In 1990, he graduated from the Moscow Art School in memory of 1905, and in 1997, he graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov, from the studio of Professor V.N. Zabelin. Since 1998, he is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. In 2014, he was elected an honorary member, and in 2023 a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts from the Painting Department.

Grandfather — Soviet painter, People's Artist of the USSR, academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR Yuri Petrovich Kugach (1917-2013);
Father — Honored Artist of Russia, academician of the Academy of Arts of Russia Mikhail Yuryevich Kugach (b. 1939).
