Kvetkov Sergey
Critic
Undoubtedly, Kvetkov's nearly twenty-year-long 'ascent' to the peaks of Karadag, which has given his artistic quests a distinctly 'mountainous' scale, has resulted in a kind of artistic hermitage, a dedicated and in some ways heroic asceticism, placing upon his shoulders the role of either the chief 'biographer' or the priest of the unique mountain massif he has elevated into a personal cult.
The very existence of the massif is inseparably intertwined with the fate of the artist, who not only captures it in different seasons and times of day, but as if awakens the once-boiling primordial forces in the very plasticity and color composition of his paintings.
