Critic
The decorative nature and color resonance of A. Pokatylo's works inspire optimism and hope for the continuation of the creative search by this serious author. (V. Bialik, Art Historian, State Tretyakov Gallery, member of the International Association of Art Critics).
Alexander Pokatylo taught children to draw all his life and learned from them the directness, the ability to be surprised and rejoice, which we adults lose over the years. Hence the amazing generosity in color, and such a flow of energy from his paintings. (I.N. Nepokupnaya, Art Historian, member of the Union of Artists of Russia)
The work of A. Pokatylo is original and at the same time absorbed the painting of ancient Russian masters, the quests of French and Russian artists of the early 20th century, as well as true folk art. Pokatylo has his own style, he is recognizable, his painting is bright, joyful, emotional. He is a truly Russian artist. (Viktor Permyakov, Poet, Art Critic).
