Pozin Alexander Vladislavovich
Born in 1957 in Ufa.
In 1977, graduated from the sculpture department of the Leningrad Art School named after V.A. Serov.
Works in collections
His works are in the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the collection of the Union of Artists of Russia, private collections of Karl Aymermacher and Gerd Zerhusen in Germany.

Critic
Here are the absurdities of the life around us, personal lack of freedom, and humor as the only means of accepting it all and surviving. The city gradually destroys the suburban dacha areas of St. Petersburg. Everywhere you look and touch, there are fragments of former human existence: beams, doors, window frames, buckets, baskets, and so on. For sculptor A. V. Pozin, all of this becomes the starting point and quality criterion for his sculpture: he believes that it is difficult to make something better than a found toilet or a growing tree. The use of these found forms, combined with the ability to process wood quickly, enables the creation of complex volumetric constructions, adding elements and, thus, occupying ever greater space.
