Valentina Kuznetsova
Born in 1949 in the village of Voskresenskoye, Republic of Bashkortostan. Graduated from the Art Department of the Ufa School of Arts (1964-1968) and the Faculty of Theory and History of Art at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture (Saint Petersburg) (1969-1975). Taught at the art school in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan (1968-1979), and worked as the head of the Folk Fine Art Studio in Ufa (1979-1988). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1983. Served on the Board of the Bashkortostan Union of Artists from 1987 to 1991. Member of the Creative Commission for Decorative Arts of the Russian Union of Artists from 1988 to 2004. Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan (1997). Diploma of the Russian Academy of Arts (1998). Awarded the medal "In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow" in 1997. Since 1977, worked with creative groups of ceramic artists at the Experimental Creative Production Complex (ETPK). Since 1998, lives and works in Moscow.
