On a naturalistically designed rocky base, sits a stone eagle in an observant position, with its head turned to the right. The underglaze painting is done in polychrome, using shades of brown and gray. Possibly by Peter Dahl Jensen, around 1912/1913. Alternatively attributed to Lotte Lindahl, with model number 1795. Minimal restoration; manufacturer's mark. Height: 48 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a significant private collection in Northern Germany. This is a large Art Nouveau porcelain figure of an eagle from Copenhagen. It features an incised designer's signature and a painter's monogram. Minor restoration has been done. The manufacturer's mark indicates it was made in Denmark, Copenhagen, by Bing & Grøndahl, around 1913-1914.
