Colorless glass, overlaid with white tin enamel, cut. Massive, round foot and short shaft, bell-shaped cup. Enamel decoration of olives and spheres, with gold-edged cut motifs on the cup wall, depicting a frieze of flowers and birds in polychrome enamel painting. Height: 14.2 cm. Provenance: According to information from the previous owner, from the collection of Uwe Friedleben, Hanover; collection of Inge Brück. A footed Bohemian or Silesian cut and enameled glass beaker with a decor of flowers and birds. Bohemia or Silesia. Glass probably New World, decor in the refinery of Karl and Wilhelm Hoffmann, Karlsbad. Circa 1850-1860.
