The KPM-Berlin, so-called French vases, are characterized by their amphora-shaped body with a set neck and projecting lip, placed on a square plinth. The side handles are in the form of high-pulled acanthus leaf volutes. On both sides of the body, there are oval, gold ornamented reserves with antique-style depictions in extremely delicate Pâte-sur-Pâte painting on a celadon green background, or medallion-framed lyre motifs. The vases are adorned with a surrounding gold decorative frieze featuring stylized rooster motifs, palmettes, acanthus and vine leaves, as well as meander patterns. The form is attributed to Carl Friedrich Riese, painter monogram HL, possibly for Max Henklein. Partially gold-painted, signed by Carl Hübener. Year mark.
