Round, flat, dished form with smooth edge. In the mirror, a large fruit bouquet made of peaches and grapes in an extremely soft, polychrome painting with delicate brushstrokes. Gold rim. Crossed swords mark. Diameter 45.5 cm. The painting exudes a pronounced naturalistic charm and is in the tradition of flower and fruit decorations by Prof. Julius Eduard Braunsdorf. The porcelain painter trained in Meissen influenced the style of flower and fruit painting with his initially realistic, later impressionistic style, which emerged towards the end of the 19th century.
