Elevated, strongly sculpted Rocaille pedestal. Standing on rocky terrain, a miner adorned in gold-decorated parade attire. His right hand raised, holding a beard in his left. His hair covered by a powdered wig and a black miner's hat. Around his waist, a belt, belt pouch, and sword. Polychrome painting with gold detailing. Possibly by Paul Helmig, 1896. Paul Helmig modeled a series of miner figures and groups, taking the miner models by Johann Joachim Kaendler from the 18th century as his inspiration.
