"The Four Seasons" by Meissen, a 4-piece set; standing on an elevated rocaille pedestal, are female personifications in floral garments with flowers, sheaves of grain, and sickles representing spring and summer. As counterparts, there is Bacchus crowned with grapes and holding a wine goblet, as well as an old bearded man standing by a burning fire, wearing a fur-lined coat, representing autumn or winter.
