On an irregular, naturalistically reliefed pedestal stands a Chinese family. Composed centrally are two children. To the side stands a mustached father in a white garment with green and violet accents, wearing a red straw hat, leading a sitting monkey on a leash with his right hand. To the side stands a young mother in a kimono patterned with Indian flowers, holding a hand mirror. Polychrome painting with gold contouring. Possibly by Johann Joachim Kaendler, Peter Reinicke, or Friedrich Elias Meyer, around 1745. Partially restored; crossed swords mark. Height 17 cm.
