(1874 Lüdingworth - 1946 Berlin) Striking Foal Bronze, dark brown patinated. Signed "Albert Hinrick [sic] Hussmann". Foundry stamp "BILDGIESSEREI KRAAS BERLIN S.44". Dark marble socle. The animal sculptor studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin and specialized in horse and rider representations, with which he participated in the major Berlin art exhibitions since 1899. In 1914, he received the golden medal for a monumental equestrian figure. In addition to bronzes, he also created models for porcelain figures by Rosenthal and Fürstenberg. Overall height 20.8 cm.
