Elongated, baluster-like curved white porcelain body, crowned by a fully sculpted bird. The narrow sides with plastic inlaid flowers and leaves. Displayed Roman numeral dial with gold numbers and attached gilded metal hands. Below indicated drawer. Sparse, polychrome, translucent glazed painting with gold. Form and decor by Peter Strang. Artist's signature with date "P. Strang (19)96". Relief artist monogram P.S. (workshop mark). Unique number 488/1996. Clockwork with key winding and striking mechanism on bells. Accompanied by a metal pedestal with inset square stone plate and antiqued ceramic relief medallion. Sword mark. Height 94.5 cm. 19 cm x 14 cm. This clock, created in the artistic workshops of the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, is a one-of-a-kind object in terms of its form and painting.
