- MASTER AND DATE: Bears the maker’s mark "AA" of Andrey Adler, one of Moscow’s leading silver craftsmen. The assay master's mark "A.F" confirms the date: 1888, St. Petersburg.
- PAINTING: Executed in oil on board in an academic manner. The painting is in pristine condition with no losses, demonstrating high artistic quality.
- UNIQUE FEATURES – EXCEPTIONAL INTEGRITY: This icon is a rare example of complete preservation in its original form:
• The original velvet backing between the painting and the oklad is retained.
• The reverse side of the board is entirely covered with original velvet—a sure sign of an expensive commission and careful storage. - SUBJECTS: Depicts the four central Orthodox images: The Tikhvin Mother of God, Christ Pantocrator, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the Dormition of the Theotokos.
