A painter, he received his art education at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture from 1908 to 1912, studying under A. E. Arkhipov and A. M. Vasnetsov. From 1913, he participated in many exhibitions and was a member of the Assembly art association. In 1939, he joined the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKH). He primarily painted landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes. The artist's works are kept in the Museum of the History and Reconstruction of Moscow, the A. Gorky Museum in Moscow, and the Novosibirsk Regional Art Gallery.
