19th century antique Russian Orthodox icon of the martyrs Guria, Samon and Aviva, who lived in Edessa in the 3rd century AD. It is a miniature travel icon. The painting is multi-layered, using egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wooden panel. It has a silver riza or oklad with relief decoration. The names of the characters are indicated on the lower part of the riza in Church Slavonic language. It is marked with the silver standard 84 and the manufacturer.
