19th century antique Orthodox icon depicting the Virgin Mary with the Infant Jesus in the iconography of Hodigitria. The work is done in mixed media technique: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wooden board. Silver riza or oklad with gilded relief decoration, frame type. Markings of 84th silver sample and manufacturer's marks are located on the side of the riza. The back of the icon is covered with velvet. Frame weight: 75 grams. Russian Christian icon.
