19th century Russian silver throne-salt cellar. Completely stylized to resemble the wooden architecture of Russia. The high openwork backrest fully showcases the facade of a wooden house with a window and carved ridge tiles of a gable roof. The opening lid of the salt cellar is decorated with elements of textile decor. Moscow silver, 84 hallmark, 1896, and master's mark: YAG, on the reverse side of the lid.
