A South German or Alpine dark bluish-violet glass tankard with engraved decor and pewter lid. Cut decoration depicting a farmer with a loaded wagon pulled by horses, above which is a monogram "JTS" and a wallpaper border. Pewter lid with acorn thumbpiece and engraved monogram "A.M.A.". Height 17.5 cm. Provenance: According to information from the previous owner, from the collection of Uwe Friedleben, Hannover; collection of Inge Brück. Made around 1780-1800.
