S o g. "Weimar Vase". Over a stepped round base, an ovoid body with relief ornament friezes of wave and braid bands, rod, pearl, and tongue friezes. On the sides, raised, fluted handles with acanthus leaf relief. Corresponding, vaulted lid with a plastic bud knob above a leaf rosette. On both sides of the wall, a cobalt blue background with reserved medallion framing from a finely etched ornament border of oak leaf and ivy vine. Within, on a white background, colorful flower arrangements, including roses, chrysanthemums, tulips, peonies, and forget-me-nots. Extremely fine polychrome painting with rich etched gold decoration.
