Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Possibly by Michel Victor Acier, around 1775. Partially restored/ repaired; crossed swords mark. Height 9 cm - 10.5 cm. The Amoretto figures created in 1775 by Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799) were modeled after designs by the court painter Prof. Johann Eleazar Zeissig, also known as Schönau (Scheanau) (1737-1806), who studied at the Dresden Academy, was appointed to the porcelain manufactory in 1770, became court painter in 1773, and was appointed professor in 1774.
