On a rectangular pedestal, made of stoneware, there is a naturalistic depiction of a leopard with polychrome underglaze painting. The glaze has cracks. The height of the artwork is 51 cm. It bears the manufacturer's mark of Thüringen, Volkstedt, Herzinger & Co., dating back to around 1930. This piece comes from the estate of a significant private collection in Northern Germany. It is a remarkable example of large Thuringian ceramic Art Deco figure.
