The Lada Bystritskaya Art Workshop was established in St. Petersburg. This unique artistic collective sets as its goal the revival of the old traditions of the Imperial Porcelain Factory, based on hand-painting porcelain and rejecting mechanical methods of decoration. The artists of the workshop have mastered various decorating techniques, are professionally skilled in porcelain painting in different styles and manners, the laborious technique of miniature painting, and gold engraving, which enables them to create a variety of unique works: paintings on porcelain, vases, boxes, tea sets, decorative plates, and other decorative and interior items. Porcelain pieces are produced as unique single items. Today, the workshop is home to graduates of the V.I. Mukhina School, the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, and masters who trained at the Imperial Porcelain Factory (Lomonosov Factory), including Lada Bystritskaya herself, who graduated in 1996 from the Department of Glass and Ceramics at the V.I. Mukhina School.
