Aleksandr Mikhailovich Levchenkov

Born in 1977 in Elektrostal.
From 1992 to 1997, Aleksandr Mikhailovich studied at the Fedoskino College of Miniature Painting.
In 1997, he graduated from the Fedoskino College of Miniature Painting.
In 2003, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (Portrait Studio of Professor L.S. Khasyanova), receiving the qualification of artist-painter specializing in painting. His graduation work "Portraits of Fedoskino Miniaturists" was highly praised by the State Attestation Commission and was exhibited at the Academy's showcase of best graduation works.
Levchenkov Aleksandr Mikhailovich is a professional artist. He works in a realistic classical manner, in the historical, genre, portrait, and animalistic genres, as well as takes interest in landscape and still life. The artist's work is primarily connected to portrait painting. He is a master of psychological and historical portraiture. His works combine organically the traditions of 19th-century realistic art with a modern vision of the past and present.
The artist's works are held in private collections in various countries around the world, in the collections of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (Moscow), the Gorodets Local History Museum, the Museum of Gramophones and Phonographs (Saint Petersburg), the fund of Mytishchi Art Gallery, in the collection and permanent exhibition of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Region, and permanently displayed in the memorial complex on the grounds of the Spiritual and Educational Center at the Church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God in Sestroretsk.
Aleksandr Mikhailovich pays great attention to teaching. From 2003 to 2006 he taught drawing, painting, and composition at the Fedoskino College and at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 2019, he has been a lecturer in the Department of Drawing, Painting, Composition, and Fine Arts, teaching "Academic Drawing" and "Watercolor Painting" as part of the main professional education program of higher education – specialist program 54.05.05 Painting and Fine Arts. He is a consultant for the graduation theses of 6th year students.
Since 2023, Aleksandr Mikhailovich has worked as an artist at the M.B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists, while continuing his teaching activity at the Academy.
Aleksandr Mikhailovich is a participant in city, regional, All-Russian, and international exhibitions and competitions.
